There's still time for the shop

This animated picture is of the completed LEGO box Evan and I made. Note the top is shaped like a piece of LEGO. The box is big enough to hold all the LEGO a six-year-old could want. To see the animated GIF, simply click on the picture.

Missing Birthday Pictures

There hasn't been a cake for a while, with the arrival of our latest child Caleb. This cake was made for Lucas' 3rd birthday, and a very similar cake was made for Evan's 6th birthday.

Finished Castle

Here's some pictures of the finished project. It was difficult to get pictures since the bedrooms are so small. Both boys are enjoying their theme room.

Stay Tuned...

We're coming around the corner on the castle bed. Hopefully we'll have it completed in the next week.

Lots of "shop time" lately

Using a little "left over" wood, we created a art easel. It's been handy for Evan and Lucas to work on their letters and colours. It seems as though there are plenty of projects getting in the way of the castle bed. Ha Ha.

Family of Robots

As you may have viewed earlier, Evan had to create a robot (Rainbow the Robot on the left) for Kindergarten. Now that colouring has been completed and it's being "studied" at school, we needed one for at home (Evan's home version has four arms). Note Lucas also wanted to build a robot (with the two arms).

Another Day - Another Cake

This cake was created by Evan and myself for Tricia's birthday (today March 28th). It was an angel food cake and Evan selected the pattern and colours to show. (Sadly, Tricia baked the cake though).

Latest Weekend Creation

Evan needed to prepare a "robot" for kindergarten using 3D Shapes (column, sphere, cube, rectangular prism, pyramid, etc.) and this is what we came up with. Using scraps from the garage we created "Rainbow the Robot". Evan particiaped a lot in the construction and will be giving "Rainbow" his colour. This kindergarten is pretty serious stuff.

Parents' Retirement Dinner

This cake was created for my Father and Mother's retirement dinner. It's chocolate and a fair amount of icing, just how Dad likes it. Again Evan helped with the "dirt", "flower" and "grass". Nice job, good tasting too.

Family Day Cake

It may look like I'm just inventing excuses to make a cake, but this one was decorated by Evan. Pretty nice for a first creation. (I did the lettering).
